Mufu Mountain, formerly known as Mount Tianyue, Yueyang is named after its location to the south. Mount Tianyue Mufu is located in Pingjiang County, Hunan Province, and is revered by Taoism as one of the 25 Heavenly Caves. Known for its majestic mountains, treacherous cliffs, secluded valleys, dense forests, peculiar rocks, and beautiful waters, it is recorded that Fuxi observed the celestial phenomena and refined the Eight Trigrams here, Emperor Shun captured and enfeoffed the Heavenly Peak, and Dayu controlled the water and worshipped this mountain. It is now a national forest park and a national AAA level tourist attraction
