The Qinglongxia Scenic Area is 29 kilometers away from the city center of Anning and 20 kilometers away from the hot springs, with good transportation conditions. The Anfu Highway (Anning to Fumin) crosses the border, and the Chengdu Kunming Railway has a station (Qinglong Station). The total area of the scenic spot is about 19 square kilometers
The scenic area is densely covered with forests, with intact vegetation, ancient vines entwining, streams singing, waterfalls splashing, water wheels spinning, sunshine and cooking smoke, simple folk customs, and tourist attractions scattered everywhere. The entire scenic area can be roughly divided into several large areas for sightseeing. The drifting tourist area, Qinglongxia Drifting, is known as the "first drifting in central Yunnan" and is the most interesting tourism project.
