Dongliao Black Pig is a specialty of Dongliao, Liaoyuan, Jilin. Dongliao black pig has a medium-sized head, wide forehead, drooping ears, a flat back, thick limbs, a black body, 6-8 pairs of male and female nipples arranged neatly, making it a dual-purpose pig for both meat and fat. The Dongliao Black Pig is a locally excellent breed of pig that was developed by crossbreeding Buckwheat boars with local pigs during the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
