
1. Introduction to the Scenic Area
Shaanxi History Museum, the first large-scale modern national museum in China and one of the first batch of "AAAA" level tourist attractions, is known as the "pearl of ancient capital and treasure trove of China". Located at 91 Xiaozhai East Road, Yanta District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, northwest of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. There are over 1.7 million collections, including 762 first-class cultural relics and 18 national treasure level cultural relics. Among them, 2 are the first batch of cultural relics prohibited from being exhibited abroad, ranking among the top museums in China and recognized by UNESCO as world-class museums

The predecessor of Shaanxi History Museum was the "Shaanxi Provincial History Museum" established in June 1944, the 33rd year of the Republic of China. It was renamed Shaanxi Provincial Museum in June 1955. In 1983, according to the instructions of Premier Zhou Enlai before his death, the construction of a new museum began at the current site. Construction began in the summer of 1986, and it was officially completed and opened on June 20, 1991, and named after its current name. The museum covers an area of 65000 square meters. The building area is 55600 square meters, the cultural relics storage area is 8000 square meters, and the exhibition hall area is 11000 square meters. The cultural relics in the collection range from simple stone tools used by ancient humans in the early stages to various objects in social life before 1840, spanning a time span of over one million years. In 2008, it was rated as a national first-class museum, and in 2009, it was designated as a national key museum jointly built by the central and local governments. In 2016, it was selected as "China's 20th Century Architectural Heritage" by the Chinese Society of Cultural Relics and the Chinese Architectural Society. In December 2017, it was selected as one of the first batch of national primary and secondary school students' study and practice education bases by the Ministry of Education. On December 29, 2023, the Qin and Han sections of the Shaanxi History Museum will open for trial

Specific exhibitions in the museum may require separate ticket purchases, and basic exhibition tickets can be reserved 3 days in advance on weekdays
Holidays: During the Spring Festival, reservations can be made 15 days in advance (for example, on January 27, 2024, tickets for February 10, the first day of the Lunar New Year, can be reserved)

IV. Reservation method
Please follow the "Shaanxi History Museum" WeChat official account to make reservation for real name tickets. Tickets will be released at 10:00, 11:00, 18:00, and 19:00 every day. Please make an appointment as needed

Each ID number is limited to booking one visit ticket per day, and each account is limited to booking five tickets per day. Only one order can be submitted (if multiple visitors need to be added, please make sure to submit them all at once in the same order). Please fill in your identity information carefully, select the visit date, visit period, number of tickets, and confirm that the information is correct before submitting the order. The reserved ticket is valid on the day of the reservation

4. Ticket refund rules
Enter the "Shaanxi History Museum" WeChat official account → Ticket reservation → Cancel the order. Please process the refund within 3 hours after the start of the scheduled session. Late refunds are non refundable and will be considered as a breach of contract
5. Breach of Appointment Rules
If an audience breaches their appointment twice or more (including twice) within a calendar year (if they have reserved a visit ticket but have not visited during the reserved period and have not refunded the ticket on time), the blacklist rules and anti scalping mechanism will be triggered. The platform will automatically add them to the blacklist and they will not be able to reserve tickets for 180 days (including 180 days) from the date of inclusion in the blacklist

1. Exhibition of Tang Dynasty Mural Treasures
Tang Tomb Mural Paintings are a unique and precious collection of Shaanxi History Museum, with nearly 600 exquisite murals from more than 20 Tang tombs, covering an area of over 1000 square meters. Among them, 5 pieces (groups) of 18 paintings have been designated as national treasures by the country, and 69 pieces (groups) of 82 paintings have been designated as first-class products
This museum must see the treasures of the town hall: the guest map, hunting trip map, polo map of the tomb of Prince Zhanghuai, the palace guard map of the tomb of Prince Yide, and the palace maid map of the tomb of Princess Yongtai

This exhibition gathers more than 300 precious cultural relics unearthed from the Hejiacun cellar in our museum's collection. Starting from the shocking discovery, we highlight the core position of cultural relics in the exhibition in a concise form, using auxiliary exhibition boards with "illustrations as the main focus and text as a supplement" to provide a space for showcasing the artistic beauty and rich cultural heritage of these treasures

5. First Permanent Exhibition Hall
The exhibition content in the first exhibition hall includes three units, spanning from prehistoric times to the Qin Dynasty. Unit 1: Cradle of Civilization - Prehistoric Period (approximately 1.63 million years ago to the 21st century BC); Unit 2: Hehezong Zhou - Zhou (approximately 21st century BC to 771 BC); Unit 3: Eastern Empire - Qin (770 BC~207 BC)<250<254 Unearthed and now collected in the Shaanxi History Museum, metal sachets were popular in the Tang Dynasty as gifts for elders, Loong Boat Festival gifts for children, and love tokens

The Qin Du Tiger Talisman is a cultural and creative design based on the military symbols of the Qin state in the late Warring States period. Discovered in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province in 1975
7. Shaanxi Ancient Civilization
The basic exhibition of "Shaanxi Ancient Civilization" was officially opened in March 2008. The scale is grand and majestic, with an exhibition area of 5051.64 square meters and a display line length of 1247 meters. It is divided into three exhibition halls with a total of seven units, showcasing the process of the birth, emergence, and development of ancient Shaanxi civilization and its contribution to Chinese civilization<
The first unit - "Farewell to the Ape", depicts the vibrant childhood of the Chinese nation and the dawn of civilization through the remains of ancestors such as Lantian Ape Man, Dali Man, Banpo in Xi'an, and Jiangzhai in Lintong dating back 1.15 million years
Unit 6- "The Weather of the Prosperous Tang Dynasty" showcases the cultural landscape of the most prosperous period of ancient China through typical relics from the Sui and Tang dynasties. At that time, Chang'an, the world's most prosperous international metropolis, the Silk Road that communicated between the East and the West, and the unprecedented height achieved by the integration and innovative development of Sui and Tang cultures
The seventh unit - "Farewell to the Imperial Capital" showcases the unique cultural creation and spiritual inheritance of Shaanxi, as a major western city and the center of the northwest region after the Tang Dynasty
