Xi'an Huimin Street is the core area of Xi'an's halal food and market culture. The focus is on avoiding the main street Internet celebrity shops, Dian Dapiyuan / Xiyang City / Shajinqiao and other old alleys.
I. Core travel strategy
• Area and dynamic line: There are many Internet-famous shops on the main street (North Courtyard Gate). Locals like to go to Dapiyuan, Xiyang City, Mai Amaranth Street and Shajin Bridge; it is recommended to enter the main street from the entrance of the Drum Tower → turn to Xiyang City → go through Dapiyuan → visit Shajin Bridge → exit from Lianhu Road, the whole journey takes about 2-3 hours.
• Opening hours: 10:00-22:00 for most shops, breakfast (such as spicy soup and cakes) 6:00-9:00 in Shajinqiao/Miaohou Street, the night market is the busiest after 18:00.
• Transportation: 5-10 minutes' walk from "Zhonglou Station" on Subway Line 2 or "Qiaozikou Station" on Line 6; Bus No. 4, 7, 15, 23 to "Zhonglou West Station" or "Guangji Street Station".
• Tips to avoid pitfalls: The price of snacks on the main street is high and the taste is average, and priority is given to old shops in old alleys; steamed buns should be broken into the size of soybeans to be more delicious; beware of "specialty stores" and "explanation" that force consumption on the roadside.
