Attraction Introduction
At the northwest corner of the square, across the road, is the Buenos Aires Cathedral, an ancient and grand church. The church was built in 1723 and has a history of over 280 years. The church is a typical ancient Roman style, with 12 tall Roman columns topped by a 15 degree acute angled isosceles triangle, forming a herringbone roof. The triangle is carved with biblical stories, vivid and lifelike. The architectural form is similar to the Pantheon in the Italian capital Rome, where Raphael's remains are buried, but with four more columns than the Pantheon. The entire building is quaint and magnificent, and it is said to be the largest church in Argentina at present. The most worthwhile thing to visit in the church is the tomb of Saint Martin
