Introduction
& nbsp; The Ci'en Pagoda is located on the Sabalan Mountain at an altitude of 954 meters. It was built by Chiang Kai shek in gratitude for his mother's great kindness and is a Chinese pagoda style architecture. When the tower was first built, all the construction materials were transported by ship over the surface of Moon Lake and then carried up the mountain with a flow cage. The project was quite arduous, with the tower standing at 46 meters high and the top of the tower reaching an altitude of exactly 1000 meters, becoming a famous landmark of Sun Moon Lake. Climbing the tower and looking into the distance, one can see the beautiful scenery of Sun Moon Lake, green mountains, and dawn and dusk. Looking from the highest level of Ci'en Pagoda towards Guanghua Island, Guanghua Island, Xuanzang Temple, and Ci'en Pagoda are approximately on the same central axis. The terrain is like a dragon head extending into a pool to fetch water. Guanghua Island is located at the water intake point, Xuanzang Temple is located at the dragon head, and Ci'en Pagoda is the heart of the dragon. The plaque "Ci'en Pagoda" at the entrance gate of Ci'en Pagoda was personally inscribed by Chiang Kai shek. Inside the pagoda, there is a huge bronze bell, which has been hanging ever since its completion. As for the memorial tablet of Lady Wang, the mother of Jiang, it is presented in a palace style building in front of the tower. At the top of the tower, there is a vast open space and lawn, planted with flowers and trees such as plum blossoms and cypress trees, as well as stone tables and chairs for visitors to rest
