Introduction
& nbsp; It is located about 1km east of Changhua City, covering everlasting longing for each other trees, banyan trees and Phoenix trees. It is only 96m above sea level, but it has beautiful peaks and stretches for 10km. It is like a jade screen that arches the urban area on three sides. In ancient times, it was known as the "Dingjun Mountain" due to its military prowess. In 1895 (the 21st year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty), the Qing court ceded Taiwan. The local military and civilians took advantage of the favorable terrain of Bagua Mountain to rise up and resist the Japanese army, killing countless enemies. Later, due to being outnumbered, more than 500 people sacrificed heroically. Several ancient cannons are currently on display as relics for people to pay tribute to the martyrs. Bagua Mountain is the most famous scenic area in Changhua, including Changhua Buddha, Jiulong Pool, Bagua Mountain Park, and Zhongzheng Park, with Changhua Buddha being the most eye-catching. Changhua Giant Buddha is a statue of Shakyamuni Buddha, approximately 24 meters high and 4 meters wide at the shoulders. The bust circumference is about 12 meters, and it is a reinforced concrete sculpture. From the lotus pedestal to the top of the Buddha, the six story building stands tall, making it even more massive when standing on the mountaintop. It is said that this great Buddha surpasses Japan's Nara Buddha and India's reclining Buddha, and is one of the few great Buddhas in the world. There are doors around the lotus pedestal of the Great Buddha, and the interior is actually a six story building with a small Buddha hall on the ground floor; Exhibition of paintings and sculpture models related to the life stories of Buddha on the second to fourth floors; The fifth floor is a library, which houses Buddhist scriptures and scriptures; The top floor is the observation room, which is actually the neck of the Buddha. The observation room has seven small windows that offer a panoramic view of Changhua City and a distant view of the vast strait. Climbing up to the top of the Great Buddha layer by layer and enjoying the scenery of "overlooking the ocean" has become the most interesting activity for people. Bagua Mountain Park is a European style garden with fragrant flowers, making it a great holiday destination
