Introduction
& nbsp; Gu Guan is the most famous scenic spot on the western section of the Central Cross Island Highway, located in the central part of Taichung County. Since the Japanese occupation period, it has been famous for its hot springs and was once named "Meiji Hot Springs". The hot springs are mild in nature and have therapeutic effects on arthritis and neuralgia. After the opening of the Central Cross Island Highway, the Gu Guan Long Valley Recreation Area was opened here, featuring scenic spots such as Sun Moon Pool, Yin Yang Pool, Second Generation Wood, Monkey Tree, Fairy Bridge, Fairy Pavilion, Shuanglian Bridge, and Long Valley Suspension Bridge. The suspension bridge above the gorge hangs in the air, the stream below cascades, the cherry blossoms bloom in spring, and the maple leaves turn red like fire in autumn. It is both majestic and enchanting. Along the path and cliffs, there are also unique scenic spots such as Miaozhen Immortal Cave, Leiyin Pavilion, Eight Immortals Chess Platform, Guanyin Valley, Yixiantian, and Cuigong Longyin. The Dragon Valley Waterfall, which is over 80 meters long, has a natural beauty. The park is filled with the chirping of birds and the fragrance of flowers. The animal garden, rare bird garden, aquarium area, and monorail facilities are all ingeniously designed to add fun and excitement to visitors.
