& nbsp; Located next to Fuquan Well in Changge Old Town, the pond is rectangular in shape, 80 meters long, 30 meters wide, and 1-3 meters deep. The water in the pond is dark blue and never dries up after a long drought. There is a high platform by the pond for Zhong Yao to study calligraphy. In front of the pond stands a 1920 "Inscription on the Reconstruction of the Ink Washing Pool" monument, which is 0.91 meters high and 0.4 meters wide. The inscription describes Zhong Yao's calligraphy achievements and his spirit of learning calligraphy, and also depicts the landscape of the renovated Ink Washing Pool. It is said that during the Three Kingdoms period, the great calligrapher Zhong Yao often invited Hu Zhao to practice calligraphy on the calligraphy platform.
