Introduction
& nbsp; The total area of Gaoshiti Forest Park is 182.13 hectares, and it was approved as a provincial-level forest park by the Provincial Forestry Department in 1993. The park has a unique landscape, with giant rocks, peculiar peaks, valleys, and mountain streams forming a typical natural landscape of the low mountains in southern Sichuan. As early as the 33rd year of Guangxu's reign in the Qing Dynasty, Gaoshiti Natural Scenic Area was regarded as one of the four major refuge destinations for foreigners in Sichuan. The main landscapes include: Jiuxiao Peak - Swan Embracing Eggs. Jiuxiao Peak is the highest peak in the Jiuxiao Peak series and also a tourist destination. The mountains do not embrace each other, with more than 30 peaks of different sizes. From a distance, Jiuxiao Peak looks like a mushroom or a swan spreading its wings to ambush its subjects. It is commonly known as "Swan Embracing Eggs". At the half rocky slope of the peak, "swan egg" pebbles of varying sizes were excavated; As big as a basket, as small as a rugby ball. On the front of the "Swan", there is a red rock that looks like a "Laige Bao" when viewed from the side. It is facing the "Swan" with a "frog eye" and is trying to steal the "Swan egg". Double Lions Worship Elephants - The "Old Linkou" at the northern end of the high stone ladder is lush with trees, with a dangerous terrain and a unique mountain shape. Two of them are like lions, one is like a laughing arhat, and the other is like an elephant. From a distance, it is like laughing that Arhat led two lions to worship the elephant, which is called "Double lions worship the elephant". A person chisels a hole under the "Goose Neck" with stalagmites soaring in the sky. Passing through it is a mountain ditch, with cliffs on both sides. The mountain is high and steep, and along the terraced fields, there is a feeling of "peach blossom outside the cave". At the bottom of the ditch, a peak stands tall, piercing towards the blue sky. It is called Shisun Mountain and the ditch is called "Shisun Gou". According to legend, elephants feed on bamboo shoots, and stalagmites are born in response to elephants. There is a red azalea on the stalagmite, which is as bright as fire in late spring and early summer, and is extremely spectacular. Yang Siyan - Across from Shisungou, there is a cave with four rooms carved on half of the cliff. The walls are embedded with six Qing Dynasty stone inscriptions, and the remnants of villagers standing poles and lighting sky lanterns still exist. Legend has it that a wooden statue named Yang Si flew from Mount Emei and was skilled in warfare. The villagers dug holes and built temples to protect local peace, and placed the statue of General Yang Si, hence the name "Yang Siyan". A sheep intestine stone level, it requires climbing with both feet and hands to enter the cave
