Introduction
Located in Nanshan Village, Chengguan Town, Yuhuan, it is situated in the Sanhe Tan River Valley basin surrounded by mountains on three sides. Covering an area of approximately 2.1 square kilometers, a large number of cultural relics from the Neolithic, Shang Zhou, Spring and Autumn, Warring States, and Han Tang periods were unearthed in the 1980s. The site can be divided into three cultural layers. The first layer is from the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. At a depth of 50 centimeters from the surface, there is a black soil layer about 20 centimeters thick and covering an area of 4 square kilometers. The stones, sand, and soil are all black. According to literature, it was formed during the Qin and Han dynasties when a major flood brought seaweed and debris to the southeast coast and buried them deep in the beach. The unearthed cultural relics below the black layer zone belong to the Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States Period. Bronze artifacts include swords, spears, knives, arrowheads, spears, and adzes; Printed hard pottery includes bowls, jars, pots, bottles, plates, and fragments. The decorative patterns mainly include four types: mesh pattern, rice shaped pattern, grid pattern, and loop pattern.
