Donkey Road

Donkey Road refers to the popular crossing route for backpackers, divided into seven routes. In the 1950s and 1960s, for the purpose of afforestation, the workers of Mount Taishan Forest Farm built dense mountain paths on the mountain. Later, most of these paths were abandoned. With the progress of outdoor sports activities, more and more mountain paths have been discovered, and more and more mountain peaks and ravines have left donkey footprints. These roads have a low safety factor and it is not recommended to act alone. The road is steep and the scenery is beautiful

From then on, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mount Taishan. Tourists who come by car need to transfer to the scenic tourist shuttle bus up the mountain at Tianwai Village. The main attractions include Tianwai Village Tiandi Square, Heilongtan Reservoir, Bailongchi, Heilongtan Waterfall, Zhulin Temple, Wuji Temple, Fanyan Cliff, Aolai Peak, Jiandai Bridge, Mati Valley, Xiangyou Bay, Shuntian Bridge, Tongtian Bridge, Zhongtianmen, etc. You can take a bus up the mountain along the tourist road and get on and off at any of the three stations of Heilongtan, Zhulin Temple, and Huangxi River for sightseeing. The admission fee is 125 yuan per person, and the ticket price for the tourist shuttle bus is 30 yuan (up) and 30 yuan (down). It takes about 50 minutes to go up the mountain
• Taohuayu Line: From Taohuayu (entrance) to Taohuayuan, it is 13 kilometers long. The upper section is called Taohuayuan, and the lower section is called Taohuayu, named after the ancient peach forest full of valleys. The characteristic of this hiking route is accompanied by water, with flowing water on both sides of the road. Tourists can walk along the stream along the continuous walking path built in the Peach Blossom Spring watershed, or climb up the mountain and rest in the wooden houses on the mountainside. Taohuayuan is equipped with a single line circulating overhead cableway, which can directly reach Daiding. Along the way, there are attractions such as Yuanjun Temple, Caidai Creek, Diaoyutai, Yixianquan, Yuanbaoshi, Walnut Garden, Niujiao Cave, Huangshi Cliff, Parrot Cliff, Yixiantian, Monkey Sorrow Cave, Peach Blossom Spring, etc. From Taicheng, drive northwest along National Highway 104 for 8 kilometers (close to the border between Jinan and Tai'an), then drive northeast along the Taohuayu to Taohuayuan tourist road to reach the destination. The famous ancient pines include twin pines standing upright, and crouching tiger pines growing on the hillside with vigorous branches.
