Take bus route 14 or 1 at Lhasa Railway Station. After getting off the Liuwu Bridge, transfer directly to bus route 18 at the first bus stop and tell the driver to get off at Barkhor Street

@In Tibetan, "Barkhor" means "intermediate passage". Barkhor Street, also known as Bajiao Street, is located in Chengguan District, Lhasa. It is a famous thoroughfare and commercial center in Lhasa, and has relatively well preserved the traditional appearance and way of living of the ancient city. The original street of Barkhor Street was only a single winding road around the Jokhang Temple, known as the "Holy Road" by Tibetans

is gradually expanding into a large old style neighborhood surrounding the Jokhang Temple. Barkhor Street is a polygonal street ring consisting of Barkhor East Street, Barkhor West Street, Barkhor South Street, and Barkhor North Street, with a circumference of about 1000 meters. There are many forks in the street, with 35 streets and alleys. Barkhor Street belongs to the Barkhor Street Office of Chengguan District, with 4 neighborhood committees and 199 residential courtyards under its jurisdiction
