Traffic situation

Traveling 100 kilometers south from Lhasa takes about 2 hours, and you can rent a car or take a shuttle bus to get there. Scenic spot description

Yangzhuoyongcuo is located next to the Yanghu Scenic Area of Provincial Highway 307 in Gongga County, Shannan City, Xizang Autonomous Region. It is called the three holy lakes in Xizang together with Namtso and Mapangyongcuo, between 90.08-91.45 east longitude and 28.27-29.12 north latitude. The lake covers an area of 638 square kilometers. [3] Yangzhuoyongcuo is the largest enclosed inland lake in the southern part of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, with an elevation of 4441 meters, an average depth of about 23.6 meters, a water storage capacity of about 16 cubic kilometers, a shoreline of 250 kilometers, a drainage area of 6100 square kilometers, and a lake water reserve of about 16 billion cubic meters@According to observations and calculations by the local forestry department, the bird islands and bird populations in Yangzhuoyongcuo Lake are rare in the country.
