Scenic spot description
Beibu Gulf Square is located at the intersection of Beibu Gulf Middle Road, Sichuan Road, and Changqing Road in the center of Beihai City. It was first built in December 1985, with an original square area of 2 hectares. It was selected by six influential architectural planning schemes from across the country and was awarded the design by the Department of Architecture at Tsinghua University after evaluation. The municipal landscaping department organized scientific and technological personnel to design a configuration plan based on the design scheme. In the spring of 1986, plant greening was carried out on the Beibu Gulf Square, and tall trees such as longan, kapok, southern fir, and fake betel nut were planted in the square according to the plan
