Traffic situation
Heishantou is located in the northwest of Hulunbuir and is a well connected place. There are three roads from Hailar to reach Heishantou. The first one goes towards Erguna (recommended), the second one goes towards Manzhouli and then walks along the defense line (with the most beautiful scenery), and on the third day, it crosses the grassland and enters from Bayankuren (not recommended without a guide).
