Orange Island

Take Metro Line 2 directly from Changsha Railway Station and Changsha South Railway Station to reach the Orange Island Scenic Area.

@Zizhou, located in the center of the Xiangjiang River in Yuelu District, Changsha City, Hunan Province, has an original area of about 17 hectares and a total developed land area of 91.64 hectares. It is the largest sandbar among many alluvial sandbars in the lower reaches of the Xiangjiang River and is known as the "China Island". It runs from south to north, crosses the river center, faces Yuelu Mountain to the west, and Changsha City to the east. It is surrounded by water on all sides and stretches for more than ten miles, with a narrow area of about 40 meters and a wide area of about 140 meters. Its shape is a long island

Orange Island has attractions such as Mao Zedong Youth Art Sculpture and Wentian Terrace. Historical records show that Orange Island was formed in the second year of Yongxing reign of Emperor Hui of Jin (305 AD), through the erosion of rapids and the accumulation of sand and stones. There are thousands of species of flowers, plants and vines growing in the scenic area, among which there are 143 precious plants. There are also many rare animals such as gulls, foxes, badgers, etc.
