Jiuzhaigou Valley Scenic and Historic Interest Area National Nature Reserve is located in Zhangzha Town, Jiuzhaigou Valley Scenic and Historic Interest Area County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, in the southern section of Minshan Mountains in northwest Sichuan Province. It is located in the northeast of Gonggan Ridge in the southern section of Minshan Mountains. Its geographical coordinates are 103 ° 46 ′ 14 ″ -104 ° 5 ′ 3 ″ E and 32 ° 54 ′ 13 ″ -33 ° 19 ′ 57 ″ N. Located over 400 kilometers away from Chengdu, it is a large tributary of the Baishui River in the upper reaches of the Jialing River in the Yangtze River system, with a total area of 65074.7 hectares

Jiuzhaigou Valley Scenic and Historic Interest Area National Nature Reserve has four scenic spots, Shuzheng Valley, Zechawa Valley, Rize Valley and Zharu Valley. Among them, there are many scenic spots of different sizes. The main water features are plateau tufa lakes, tufa waterfalls, tufa beaches and streams. The water features are huge in scale, numerous in shape, numerous in number, beautiful in shape, refined in appearance and good in environment. The forest coverage rate of Jiuzhaigou Valley Scenic and Historic Interest Area National Nature Reserve exceeds 80%. There are 38 kinds of vines and 74 kinds of rare plants under national protection. There are 122 species of terrestrial vertebrates, including 21 species of mammals, 93 species of birds, 4 species of reptiles, and 4 species of amphibians#
