Nalati Grassland

@Nalati Tourist Scenic Area, located in Xinyuan County, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is situated in the hinterland of the Tianshan Mountains and at the eastern end of the Ili River Valley. In 1999, Nalati Scenic Area was established with a total planned area of 1848 square kilometers. The scenic area consists of a high-altitude grassland sightseeing area, a Kazakh folk customs area, and a tourist living area from south to north. Nalati Tourist Scenic Area integrates grasslands, valleys, and forests, with high vegetation coverage and abundant wildlife resources. Due to its unique natural and cultural landscapes, it is known as the "Tianshan Green Island", "Green Home", and "Colorful Grassland". The main attractions include Tianjie Terrace, nomadic households, Tawusani (meaning "beautiful mountain ditch" in Kazakh), Tianxian Terrace, Volta Jiaota Observation Deck, Snow Lotus Valley, etc. In 2011, Nalati Tourist Scenic Area was successfully declared a national 5A level scenic spot. On December 15, 2020, it was recognized as a national level tourist resort by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China
