Kashgar Ancient City

The quickest way to get to Kashgar is to take a plane. The airport is 10km away from the city center, or you can take the sightseeing bus line 2 directly for about 20 minutes. Taking a taxi from Kashgar city starts at 8 yuan.

@The Kashgar Ancient City Scenic Area is located in the center of Kashgar, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, covering an area of 3.6 square kilometers. It stretches south to Renmin Road, north to Seman Road and Yawag Road, west to Yumulak Xiehai Road, and east to the Tuman River Scenic Belt. The ancient city has a long history, rich culture, and unique charm, and is known as "not to Kashgar, not to Xinjiang, not to the ancient city, not to Kashgar"

The ancient city of Kashgar, after more than 2000 years of wind, frost, snow, and rain, has become a specimen and slice of different historical periods. It is known as a living fossil for studying ancient cities in the Western Regions, and is also a valuable, influential, and representative historical and cultural city for studying the culture of the ancient Silk Road. The ancient city is now an open tourist attraction and a living area for Uyghur residents, showcasing their family life, ethnic customs, traditional handicrafts, and delicious cuisine. On July 20, 2015, it was awarded the title of AAAAA level scenic spot by the National Tourism Administration
