Dongchuan Red Soil Land

"Dongchuan Hongtu Land" is located in the northeast direction of Kunming City and belongs to Dongchuan District of Kunming City. The journey from Kunming to the center of the scenic spot is about 250 kilometers, and the main attractions are located between 1800 and 2600 meters above sea level. Red soil developed under high temperature and heavy rainfall in Dongchuan, Yunnan. This soil contains more iron and aluminum, less organic matter, strong acidity, and heavy viscosity. The area within a radius of nearly a hundred miles here is a concentrated, typical, and distinctive red soil land on the Yunnan Red Soil Plateau. Set against the backdrop of blue sky, white clouds, and ever-changing light, it creates a magnificent scenery of the red soil. There is a sand pine tree growing in the scenic area, belonging to the pine family and fir genus. It is said to be over a thousand years old and has died for three years before sprouting new shoots. It is called the "Old Dragon Tree" by local villagers and blesses the villagers in this area.
