Scenic spot description
Bingzhongluo, formerly known as "Jiachangpu Bucket" (Tibetan), means Nujiang Xiaokangpu. It is said that the Luopuhua Temple in Bingzhong is under the jurisdiction of the Kangpu Lama Temple in Weixi County, and the Kangpu Tibetan name is "Changpu". Therefore, there is a saying in Bingzhong Luo that the Nujiang River is moderately prosperous
Bingzhongluo used to be the place where Nu people lived. Since the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty, Tibetan Buddhism was brought into Bingzhongluo by the Tibetan Lama Dugongji and took root, Tibetans have migrated from Xizang, Deqin, Zhongdian and other places, becoming the main residents here
The original name of Bingzhongluo was "Bizhong", which means "Tibetan village" in Tibetan language. The local Nu people called it "Mabaikao". After the Lisu people migrated from the Lancang River Basin and the lower reaches of the Nu River to settle here, they added the sound of "luo" to the original "Bizhong", meaning "qing" or "local", and thus evolved from "Bizhong" to "Bijiuluo"
