Scenic spot description

@The temple on Liwubi Island belongs to the Huangjiao Lama Temple, which was founded in 1634 AD. In the early 1960s, due to well-known reasons, it was destroyed as a product of feudal superstition. In 1989, under the advocacy of Living Buddha Losang Yishi, the government provided funding and the masses contributed their labor. The county tourism bureau was responsible for implementing the reconstruction, which was completed in December 1999. The Buddha statues and artifacts enshrined in the temple are voluntarily raised and offered by local religious believers. In the temple, there are statues of Buddha Shakyamuni, Guanyin, Thousand Armed and Thousand Eyed Buddha, Tibetan Gelug sect master Tsongkhapa and his two * * Buddha statues, protector gods, and other Buddhas. At the initiative of the Gelug sect high monk Akgexi in Luoshui Village, there is a statue of Living Buddha Losang Yishi. Above the main entrance, there is a plaque inscribed in Tibetan by Living Buddha Losang and translated into Chinese by the famous calligrapher Mr. Shangwen, reading 'Jade Pool and Qiong Tower'. During Tibetan or Buddhist festivals, large-scale Buddhist events are held here under the leadership of the Liwubi Temple Management Committee, especially the solemn fasting and taboo speech ceremony starting from the second day of the sixth lunar month. During this time, religious believers along the lake and from Yongning, Rabe, Sichuan Qiansuo, Zuo and other places voluntarily participate, with up to a hundred people at times** During this period, in addition to kowtowing tens of thousands or even hundreds of millions of times, there will also be activities such as abstaining from food and speech to cultivate public morality. Many elderly people participate every year until their bodies can no longer support them. By participating in this ascetic practice, we pray to avoid the process of being reborn as a non-verbal, food free species in the cycle of life and death, and to replace this process with ascetic practice in this world. According to people, although Liwubi Temple used to be small, its reputation was quite great. Whenever there is a disaster or a crisis in the villages around the lake, spirits will appear to indicate to people. For example, strange things such as Buddha statues taking off their hats and stepping off the Buddha platform have all happened here, so after the reconstruction today, there are more and more pilgrims and incense. In addition, there are high monks in the temple who often practice and serve the Buddha here. They also occasionally predict the fortune and misfortune of the local people and check the star books. Many injured souls are comforted here. It can be said that the temple is not big, and if there are immortals, there is spirit
