Dianchi Lake

To the south of the park is the vast Dianchi Lake, with a 2.5-kilometer-long coastline; To the west is the cableway that connects Haigeng Park to Xishan Longmen at 17#, separated by only one water; Adjacent to the golf course and national sports training base to the east; To the north, it is adjacent to the "Garden Hotel" and "Yunnan Ethnic Village"

Haigeng Park Haigeng is located 8 kilometers away from the city center. As the name suggests, "Haigeng" refers to a cross sea embankment, which was originally a wedge-shaped long dike inserted from east to west into Dianchi Lake. It starts from Haigeng Village in the east and ends at the foot of Xishan Mountain in the west, with a total length of 5 kilometers and a width ranging from 60 to 300 meters. It divides the Dianchi Lake, which covers an area of over 300 square kilometers, into two parts; To the south of the embankment is the vast Dianchi Lake, and to the north of the embankment is the '27# Grass Sea'

The entire sea embankment naturally forms four major scenic spots: to the east is the National Sports Winter Training Base; The central area is a beach resort with a gentle slope and a soft and sandy beach. To the west is the park tourist area, where you can sit and enjoy the water scenery and Xishan scenery, as well as go fishing. The northern swamp is a health resort and tourist center. There are Goldfish Lake, Hundred Flowers Garden, Large Ethnic Village, and Several Family Forest style Resort

Yunnan Haigeng Park Haigeng was originally a long embankment that extended horizontally from east to west into Dianchi Lake. It started from Jinjia River in the east, slowly extended westward, and ended at Dianchi Lake, about a mile away from the foot of Xishan Mountain. Across the water, it echoes with famous scenic spots such as Xishan and Daguan Tower, becoming an integrated tourist area. The embankment is about four and a half kilometers long, with a width ranging from forty to fifty meters to two to three hundred meters

A handsome hunter bid farewell to his newlywed wife from the shore and crossed thousands of mountains and rivers to search for water sources in the East China Sea. At the seaside, I saw an eagle carrying a small red fish. The hunter waved his bow and drew an arrow, shooting down the eagle and saving the small red fish. Originally, Little Red Fish wasThird Princessof the East Sea Dragon King. The Third Princess envied the hunter's bravery and married the hunter. But the hunter missed his wife at home, took advantage of the absence of the Dragon King, broke free from his shackles, filled his stomach with fresh water, and returned to Kunming. But his wife died of excessive longing and turned into Sleeping Beauty Mountain. The hunter was very sad, spat out water from his belly, crashed into the mountain and died, turning into Dianchi Lake

Dianchi Lake Night Moon

Among the numerous scenic spots in Kunming City, the "Dianchi Mingyue" is fresh and natural, fantastic and varied, magnificent and spectacular, as well as the ink landscape painted by unique landscapes such as Colorful Clouds Chasing the Moon and Moonlit Sleeping Beauty Mountain. It has always been deeply loved by literati and ink artists. At the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, the poetic monk Ji Xian referred to it as the "Night Moon of Dianchi Lake" and included it in his book "Six Scenic Spots of Dianyang"; QingrenZhang Shilianeven painted it as the first painting of "Kunming Eight Scenic Spots", which attracted many literati to write poems and inscriptions. During the Mid Autumn Festival, it has become a traditional custom in the Kunming area for people to flock to the sea embankment to admire the "bright moon of Dianchi Lake"
