Introduction to Qiaotou Laba Wine
Qiaotou Laba Wine is a traditional Hakka fine wine. Legend has it that it was first created in the Ming Dynasty by the Hakka people using traditional brewing techniques. It was made from glutinous rice and a wild herbaceous plant grown in the mountains, as described in Chen Wei's "Medicinal Herbs for Wine" by the Hakka people. After being brewed and sealed for many years, it was processed into a fermented liquor. It is named after the Rong family's use of this wine to entertain guests during their wedding on the eighth day of the twelfth lunar month. The older generation said that without being from Qiaotou, one cannot brew authentic Laba liquor, so they named it "Qiaotou Laba Liquor" to distinguish it
