Zaduo County in Qinghai Province is located in the southwest of Qinghai Province, adjacent to Yushu County and Nangqian County in the east and southeast, Tanggula Mountain area in the west, and Dingqing County, Baqing County, Nierong County, Suoxian County and Anduo County in Changdu and Naqu of the Xizang Autonomous Region in the south and southwest. The Cordyceps sinensis in Zaduo County is mainly distributed in the high-altitude Cordyceps sinensis field at the northern foot of Tanggula Mountain, with an average altitude of 4500 meters. The alkaline soil is rich in mineral and metal substances, with a large temperature difference between day and night, sufficient sunshine, and suitable air humidity, making the Cordyceps sinensis produced here famous worldwide for its color, fullness, and high nutritional value.
