Miluo, a city located in the northeast of Hunan Province, is named after the Miluo River formed after the meeting of Mishui and Luoshui. It is not only the source of the Dragon Boat and the hometown of dragon boats, but also the hometown of poetry, with profound historical and cultural heritage and charming natural beauty. During the Mid-day festival, I went to Miluo to start an unforgettable poetic journey between traditional customs and lakes and mountains.
I. Must-visit attractions
•Quzi Cultural Park: a national 4A-level scenic spot, divided into multiple areas, including the core scenic spots of Quzi Temple, the dragon's cultural experience area, etc. There are many monuments here, such as Quzi Temple, Quzi Academy, Narcissus Lake, Saotan, etc., all built in memory of Qu Yuan. When you get into it, it's as if you can hear the poet's meditation thousands of years ago. Cultural relics and historical materials displayed in the ancestral temple tell the story of Qu Yuanping and his literary achievements; in the academy, you can participate in poetry exchange activities and feel the charm of Hunan. The surrounding facilities are perfect, and the People's Homestay for the Afternoon, the Landscape Ecological Hotel, etc. can meet different accommodation needs.
• Miluojiang International Dragon Boat Race Center: Come here to climb the "Sky Boat" viewing platform and imagine the lively scene of dragon boat racing during the Dragon Boat Festival, compete for the flow, the loud gongs and drums, and feel the vigor of vitality and fighting spirit. If the time is right, you can also experience dragon boating in person, work together with your teammates to hit the water in the middle of the Miluo River and control the flying boats.
• New City Ancient Town: Known as "Little Nanjing", it is an antique trade post. Entering the 10 wharf of 3rd Street, 9th Lane, the ancient buildings of the Ming and Qing dynasties are scattered, as if they were going back to the prosperous years of the past. The New City Academy stands quietly, carrying a strong cultural atmosphere. • Miluo Zongzi: As the protagonist of the dragon's day, Miluo Zongzi is unique. The fragrance of zongzi leaves is filled with soft and sticky rice and rich fillings. • Changle sweet wine: brewed using traditional techniques and made from high-quality rice, the liquor is milky white and tastes mellow, sweet but not greasy. • Miluozha meat: Cut the pork into thin slices, marinate it with rice flour, spices, etc., tie it tightly with zongzi leaves or straw, and make it smoked or dried. Three-day tour
