Introduction
& nbsp; The Ten Great Waterfalls are located in Taipei County and are the largest waterfall in the upstream waterfall group of the Keelung River, with a drop of about 20 meters and a width of about 30 meters. The majestic waterfall curtain has earned it the nickname of "Taiwan's Niagara Falls". The waterfall is caused by the collapse of the Keelung River bed fault, with a wide waterfall curtain forming an inward curved arc. The rugged rock layers on the outer edge of the river protrude diagonally against the water flow, known as the reverse inclined curtain waterfall, which belongs to the same type as Niagara Falls. The cascading waterfall cascades layer by layer and falls into a wide deep pool. Due to the pervasive water vapor and smoke, clear sky rainbows often appear through the refraction of sunlight, hence the name "Rainbow Abyss" for the waterfall. Around October every year is the period with the largest number of waterfalls, and the sound of waterfalls can be heard from afar like thunder. Tourists can enjoy the waterfall from different angles on the trail built next to the mountain, which also leads to secluded places such as mountain walls and caves
