Introduction Tianjia Lake is an above ground artificial lake in northern China with the highest construction standards, fully enclosed, and fully cement hardened. The surrounding dams are all made of reinforced concrete, with a height of 4.5 meters (Dagu elevation 85 meters), including a 1-meter-high wave wall. Tianjia Lake is located in Balitai Town, Jinnan District, Tianjin City. Originally known as Jinnan Reservoir, it was built in October 1997 and completed in December 1998 with a total investment of 170 million yuan. Including other infrastructure, it has now invested 280 million yuan. Tianjia Lake covers an area of 7.8 square kilometers (11735 acres), with a water surface area of 7.05 square kilometers (10590 acres). The highest water level is at an elevation of 7.0 meters in Dagu, with a maximum storage capacity of about 30 million cubic meters and a water depth of 4-8 meters. The lowest water level is 4.65 meters above sea level in Dagu, with a lake capacity of 13.15 million cubic meters and a depth of 1.7 meters. The planned development area of Tianjia Lake Ecological Scenic Area is 12 square kilometers (18000 acres), including 5 square kilometers (7500 acres) of land.
