Basic Introduction to Huoqiu Willow Weaving

Huoqiu County is located on the south bank of the Huai River and has a long history of planting willow trees.

In the process of fighting against the occasional flood in the Huaihe River, local people learned to use willow to "weave baskets" to meet their needs. But only the raw materials for simple production tools such as weaving manure baskets and lifting baskets formed industrial advantages around the beginning of the 21st century. The county focuses on cultivating, optimizing the structure, and expanding the scale of the Qiliu as one of the four pillar industries in the county, so that the base area increases at a rate of 3000 acres per year. 1.
