Guanxian County, Shandong Province, is located in the southern end of the North China Plain, with the old 100 mile Yellow River running through the north and south. Guanxian Yali has a long history of production and a vast area. It is known as the "best Yali in the world" and is a famous "hometown of Yali" in China. According to legend, before the Han Dynasty, people here used mulberry trees to graft and plant pear trees. According to historical records, during the Tang Dynasty, duck pears were abundant in the area around Hanlu Village in Guan County, west of Gutangyi City and south of the flat area of the ancient Yellow River breach. According to the investigation, by the beginning of the 21st century, there were still many old pear trees with ages of over a hundred years and hundreds of years in the pear orchards along the old Yellow River in the northeast of the county. Among them, a pear tree planted by Wang in 1669 (the 8th year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty) grew in Hanlu Village, Lanwo Township, with a history of 337 years. The tree was 12 meters high, with a crown width of 19 meters and a circumference of 3.6 meters. It still had lush branches and leaves, producing more than 2000 kilograms of pears annually and was known as the "Pear Tree King"
