Basic introduction of Liujiang grapes
The main grape varieties in Liujiang County are Jufeng, Jingya, and Guifei. The main producing areas are in towns such as Chengtuan, Jinde, Chuanshan, Labao, and Sandu, covering an area of 40000 acres. The production area is far away from industrial enterprises, with few nearby pollution sources and a good ecological environment
Liujiang grapes rely on natural advantages such as warm climate and abundant rainfall. The grapes bloom and mature early, and can be harvested and marketed in mid June every year, making up for the shortage of fresh grapes in the south and selling well in the market. Liujiang grapes have large clusters, uniform coloring, tender and juicy flesh, with a sugar content of 13-18% in fresh fruit. They are sweet without acidity, rich in fruit flavor, easy to separate from skin, have wax powder, and are resistant to storage and transportation. They are mainly sold to various provinces and regions such as Guangdong, Hunan, and Guizhou. In 2006, under the guidance of experts from Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, a successful autumn grape production experiment was carried out. Since then, the second season grape production has been widely promoted throughout the county, becoming the largest double season grape production base in the country. Autumn grapes in Liujiang have better quality and higher selling prices than spring grapes, resulting in better benefits for farmers
