
Introduction to Linhai Broccoli
Linhai is a national level historical and cultural city, and also a vibrant open city. Linhai broccoli was introduced and tested by villagers from Laodong Village, Shangpan Town in 1989. Over the course of more than 20 years, it has grown from scratch and become the center of broccoli production in China. It is one of the "four business cards" of Linhai agriculture. In November 2003, Linhai City was awarded the title of "Hometown of Chinese Broccoli" by the China High Quality Agricultural Products Development and Service Association. In 2008, it became a national agricultural standardization demonstration zone, in 2011, it became a national broccoli standardization demonstration county, and in 2012, it became a national export broccoli quality and safety demonstration zone
The vast coastal plain, fertile land, and unique winter and spring climate conditions in Zhejiang's coastal areas all contribute to the flourishing growth of broccoli here. In 2003, Linhai was awarded the title of "Hometown of Chinese Broccoli", and its planting area has been expanding year by year. By 2000, the planting area reached 50000 mu, and by 2009, it had increased to 80000 mu, with a yield of over 3600 yuan per mu and an annual output of 120000 tons. Its products account for 50% of the total broccoli production in Zhejiang and 25% of the national total, making it the largest winter and spring broccoli production center in China and an important international broccoli production base. The geographical indication protection scope of Linhai broccoli includes three towns in Linhai City, namely Duqiao, Shangpan, and Taozhu, with a total of 190 administrative villages. It extends east to Duanzhu Village in Shangpan Town, south to Xinhu Village in Duqiao Town, west to Hongjia Village in Duqiao Town, and north to Hehuatang Village in Taozhu Town. The geographical coordinates are 121 ° 29 ′ -121 ° 52 ′ E longitude and 28 ° 29 ′ -28 ° 53 ′ N latitude. The applied protection area is 10000 hectares, and the current planting area is 4000 hectares, with an annual production of about 100000 tons of broccoli
Product quality characteristics
Unique environment creates unique quality, typical Linhai winter spring broccoli has the following characteristics.
. 1. Appearance: Spherical high round or nearly round, spherical surface is round, flower ball is compact, bud grains are fine, uniform, and green in color. The stem is not hollow, and the flower ball has no withered yellow buds or scattered buds. 2. Taste quality: Slightly sweet on the palate, with crispy stems and sticky buds, and a refreshing aroma. 3. Nutritional quality: Each 100g of edible portion contains 3.6-5.0g of protein, 0.2-0.3g of fat, 2-3g of carbohydrates, 0.8-1.2g of dietary fiber, 10-25mg of carotenoids, 110-120mg of vitamin C, 50-100mg of sulforaphane, as well as abundant vitamin B, anthocyanins, folate, flavonoids, and minerals. The water content of flower bulbs is 85-88%. 4. Storage and transportation: It can be stored for 45 days under conditions of (-1~1) ℃ and (95~100)% relative humidity. 5.
